Objectives


The Objects of the Charity are as follows

1. To relieve the suffering of equines who, by reason of cruelty or ill-treatment are in need of care and attention and in particular to provide or maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception and care of such equines.

2. To liaise with any person or group by means of talks or receiving visits to promote the education of equine welfare.

3. To identify and train suitable equines for persons with disabilities.

About Us


For over 30 years Brownbread has been taking in horses & ponies that have been abused. However, many animals coming in to the Centre may be so highly stressed due to the appalling abuse suffered that they easily demolish wooden stables.

Brownbread is now on its 5 year refurbishment program where ineffective, fragile wooden stables are being demolished and rebuilt in substantial block with tiled roof.
